Well Data Labs and IHS Markit announced a new technology alliance this week during SPE’s Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference in The Woodlands, TX. The technology alliance seeks to integrate Well Data Labs’ completions data application with IHS Markit’s engineering and geoscience software platforms.
Combining Well Data Labs’ innovative completions database with the powerful resources and expertise of IHS Markit’s cornerstone geoscience solutions Kingdom (Frac Explorer) and Harmony Enterprise provides a great benefit to mutual customers, improving data access and streamlining workflows for completion optimization.
Kingdom provides access to frac data on completed wells, analyzes and visualizes it in Frac Explorer, and enables analysis of new well performance. IHS Harmony Enterprise™ is a comprehensive engineering application for analyzing oil and gas well performance, allowing customers to assess production performance against completion design. Well Data Labs’ web-based platform allows further analysis and reporting with a near real-time view of what is happening during a frac job, improving legacy workflows with modern software. The goal is to reduce time, costs and potential errors while enabling operators to ask more questions and make better decisions.
